Women Observed, K11 Art Foundation, Shanghai

Caroline Walker’s paintings reveal the diverse social, cultural and economic experiences of women living in contemporary society. Drawing on her own photographic source material, Walker provides a unique window into the everyday lives of women. This solo presentation Women Observed brings together over 40 paintings and oil sketches made since 2016, including several new paintings on display for the first time. The range of subjects depicted include women at work, spaces of leisure and intimate family scenes.
